8 Pinterest Resources to Explode Your Pinterest Traffic

(This post may contain affiliate links. See the full affiliate disclosure here for more info.)

In my world, there are two Pinterest experts. This post is about one of them and why I love her.

I’m really excited to share her knowledge with you. Her advice can simplify your blogging life and Pinterest efforts.

Check out Pot Pie Girl’s resources below. She also has lots of freebies on her site, so you’re sure to find something to fill a need.

I STRONGLY recommend signing up for her tips and newsletter. She keeps up with the latest Pinterest changes and sifts, sorts, and interprets them so you don’t have to!

Why is Pinterest important?

Social media is one of the best ways to promote your blog and explode your blog traffic. And each social network has its own best practices.

You can’t ignore the value of social media platforms to your blog, readers, and traffic. Some bloggers have successfully figured out the tips and tricks a blogger needs to make the most of social media sites.

So, why try to bumble through and figure it out on your own?

Pinterest is my favorite site. I use this social media network to get information, so naturally, it was the one I focused on to let people know about my blog posts. I use it to drive traffic—readers interested in knowing more about my Pinterest Pins and what I blog about.

But there’s so much to learn, including how to design Pins that get clicks, how to target your audience, the art of designing Pinterest boards and Pin images, how to use Pinterest analytics, what you should include in your profile, where to put social share buttons and a Pinterest share button, what makes a Pin-worthy image, how to use affiliate links on Pinterest and more.

Should you create idea Pins or product Pins, your own Pins, or pin other people’s Pins? Do you mean a great idea or want to create brand awareness but just don’t know how to take the first step?

Pinterest statistics (according to Pinterest.com)

  • 463 million people use Pinterest a month—from all walks of life, cultures, and countries—each is looking for ideas and inspirations for purchases
  • 60% of the users are women
  • The use of Pinterest by men and Gen Zers is growing by 40% a year
  • The use of Pinterest by millennials is growing by 35% a year
  • 45% of the people in the US that make over $100,000 a year are on Pinterest

What does that mean to you?

Here are a few reasons you might make Pinterest a priority for business or blog:

  • You are trying to reach LOTS of readers or buyers for your products (i.e., the niche interests are ENDLESS. That means Pinterest users are looking for YOU)
  • You sell or post information of interest to women
  • You sell or post information of interest to men
  • You sell or post information of interest to Gen Zers or millennials
  • You want to sell anything
